John Moran, Geuzenhuis, Gent, BE

I Came, I Saw, I Concurred

… is John Moran’s inaugural solo exhibition in both Belgium and Europe. The exhibition comes in the wake of yet another school shooting in his motherland, the United States of America.  I Came, I Saw, I Concurred is a concise collection of figurative, glass and mixed media sculptures reflecting on the culture of violence and caricaturizing the good ole’ US of A as a new third world country through the use of a layering of references; powerful, raw imagery; flawlessly, sculpted figures; and thoughtfully crafted, titular wordplay.
